Digital Downloads

We primarily offer our music in digital format, so that customers can print the pages they need at home or use the material with eReaders and tablets. Our downloads are available in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free here.

Printed Material

Should you prefer printed copies, these can be supplied on demand. All printed material is produced on standard 80 gsm paper with outer covers of matt-coated 300 gsm card. The binding is by plastic spiral coil, giving a maximum ease of turning with minimal noise.

Editorial Policy

Many of the works published by Cat on the Keys Music are critical performing editions, which means that a thorough standard of transcription, type-setting, and editing has been adhered to in its preparation, to give an accurate representation of the composer's original text. In the preface of each work, a clear editorial policy is presented, with a commentary indicating any changes made from the original printed or manuscript material.

Where possible, multiple sources of the music are consulted and any relevant alternative readings are incorporated.

We engage consultant editors to peer-review our Critical Editions.
